Accounting and Finance are the cornerstone of business and this course will enable you to develop the appropriate knowledge, skills and professional values which are essential to the exercise of an accounting and finance specialism, whether in industry or public service. This course seeks to help you develop as a technically competent, broad based individual, who thinks and communicates effectively, who has the basis for conducting enquiry, carrying out problem solving and undertaking critical analysis in a constantly changing business context.

The strong vocational emphasis of the course provides a thorough grounding in financial reporting, management accounting and corporate finance. This is an ideal course if you are considering working in the accounting profession, within the financial markets and institutions, or wish to pursue a management career in industry. Graduates also qualify for a range of exemptions from the examinations of the main professional accountancy organisations such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
