The programme is aimed at producing professionals who are ready to take their place as leaders in the global food and beverage industries. Graduates are equipped with the applicable knowledge and skills in foodservice and culinary arts to stand out in a competitive global work environment. They are also trained to apply tactical and strategic planning to be able to contribute positively to the growth and improvement of the industry.

After completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

Manage food & beverage and kitchen operations efficiently & effectively
Conduct research and development activities in culinary arts
Conduct training of food production and supervise subordinates
Practice and enforce safety, sanitation and food hygiene control
Adhere to the professional code of conducts
Develop skills that are adaptable to various career levels and career advancement in the industry
Communicate effectively in a multicultural context

Career Prospects
Graduates of this degree are not only able to work in full-service restaurants, but also catering facilities, casual restaurants, fast food franchises, delicatessens, hospitals and other institutions. They are groomed to be potential candidates in both food-producing and non food producing careers, such as food and beverage managers, consultants, educators, food writers, researcher in food related activities. Their career prospects encompass managing the supply, production, processing, distribution/logistics, retail and service of food to customers.
