Taylor's Business Foundation (TBF) is a one-year pre-university programme. It is designed for secondary school leavers who are interested in pursuing a career in business and commerce. TBF complements and serves as a quality alternative to pre-university courses, one that guarantees a smooth transition for school leavers to pursue a business degree programme. TBF is able to provide that because subjects taught in this programme are of direct relevance to the course specialisation at the degree level.
TBF has proven to be the best choice of a business foundation programme because it is highly focused on exploring the innate strengths of our students. TBF students do not undertake standard subjects in the generalised concept of post-SPM education; instead they are taught subjects relevant to their business degree.
This programme has the following benefits and features:Business Focus
TBF lays the groundwork for students entering the business degree programmes by teaching subjects that are business oriented. Regardless of whether you’re from the Arts or Science stream, TBF’s practical and hands-on programme will give you a complete understanding of Business Studies fundamentals so that you’re one step ahead of the game.Acceptance by Partner University
Taylor’s partner universities fully recognise the importance of TBF and admission into their business degree programmes are guaranteed.Assessment
You’ll be able to monitor your progress and performance every step of the way with TBF’s continuous assessment system. Examinations, assignments, projects and quizzes are given frequently and graded throughout the course.Learning in a Tertiary Environment
TBF employs a unique teaching and learning process that encourages two-way interaction and sharing of knowledge and resources among students. The objective is to develop and instill resourcefulness and the ability to study independently.English Language Proficiency
Since English is the main language in the world of business, TBF encourages students to brush up on their written and oral skills. The Learning and Academic Skills Centre (LASC) provides support classes that will improve overall proficiency in the English language.MQA Approval
